UK flood risk map incorporates groundwater data
Flood risk consultancy Ambiental has added groundwater data to its UK map, claiming it improves the way insurers assess flood risk at the individual address/building level.
The upgraded map is the result of a partnership with hydrogeology expert ESI.
Groundwater flooding represents one of the most complex areas of flood risk modelling and is more difficult to predict
