Dubai expats warned of mandatory health insurance implications

Expatriates in Dubai have been urged to ensure they have the correct level of health insurance in place following a ruling by the Dubai healthcare authority.

The ruling means health insurance will become compulsory in Dubai from the beginning of 2014 and many expatriates will need to switch plans or face the possibility of having their residency visa
