Average cost of lithium battery fire claims hits £50k

The average cost of fire-related home insurance claims involving lithium batteries has hit £50,000, according to data from Allianz.

Hot on the heels of the London Fire Brigade revealing the Greater London area alone has seen 673 fires involving a lithium battery or vehicle since January 2023, Allianz today (26 November) reported
