With a revolutionised offering in its engineering, construction and power sector, Allianz was named winner of Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year award.

An increase in broker recommendation based on claims quality and service is a testament to the outstanding progress Allianz has made through steady investment in its people, platforms and products.

Driven to ensure all modernisation and digital capabilities benefit their customers, Allianz devised a new and popular integrated offering in the renewable energy space.

The insurer is “stepping out to lead the industry on some key issues,” according to one judge, and indeed digitising its engineering inspection process and applying robotic process automation to evaluate risk have proved extremely beneficial for the company.

One project involved virtual reality experiences to train crane and lift inspection engineers while another uses an artificial intelligence survey model in SME.

Eager to share its expertise with articles, whitepapers, a recent campaign focused on outlining risk factors to brokers wanting to better support their SME customers.

Allianz is a company that makes insurance look easy. Even the recent transfer from LV of 120,000 policies was seamlessly incorporated without disruption to existing business.

It was a real privilege to receive the award for Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year alongside my colleagues last night. This award is fantastic recognition of our people and the significant investments we’ve continued to make in our commercial business. I’d like to congratulate each and every one of the team on this excellent achievement.
Neil Clutterbuck, chief underwriting officer, Allianz Insurance
