Cumbria “better prepared” following £276m floods
Communities and businesses in Cumbria have taken steps to better prepare for floods following the events of last year, research from the Environment Agency has revealed.
According to the report, 47% of those flooded in November 2009 have taken steps to protect their property, while 37% have made repairs to their homes and business to make them more resilient.
