Allianz, LV and Zurich to discuss speeding up fraud detection in Insurance Post webinar

Scott Clayton

Whilst some insurance fraudsters are getting smarter at using modern technologies to embellish their false insurance claims; other more opportunistic policyholders are being driven to seek illicit gains as the cost-of-living crunch means money is tighter than ever.

But no matter what type of fraudster an insurance company faces, the request for more evidence to support a claim is a given these days. Whether it is video, photographic or other digital means, there is an expectation that the claimant will need to support their submission with more than just written words.

With this in mind Insurance Post in association with Hyland are holding a live interactive webinar on Thursday 13 July at 3:00pm in which an expert panel will discuss how to seamlessly separate the genuine claimants from the spurious ones, resulting in satisfied policyholders and less leakage.

Among the questions they will consider are:

  • What structured and unstructured data are insurers using to combat fraud, and how do they manage the interaction between the two?
  • How has the use of photographic and video evidence changed in the efforts of insurers to beat fraudsters?
  • Where do insurers see the biggest pain points when collecting and evaluating claims data to determine fraud and how do they manage them?
  • How are insurers looking to speed up the validation of claims to improve the journey for policyholders seeking genuine compensation?
  • What new and devious ways are insurers seeing from fraudsters looking to use data to their own benefit?
  • Where do insurers see the battle against fraud going next, and what solutions are they exploring to nip this in the bud?

The expert panel for the webinar is:

• Jeff Hiegert, Industry product manager for insurance, Hyland

• James Burge, Head of counter fraud, Allianz

• Ben Fletcher, Director of financial crime, LV=

• Scott Clayton, Head of claims fraud, Zurich, pictured.
