Labour repeats call for premium investigations

Shadow transport secretary Louise Haigh has promised to call on the Financial Conduct Authority and Competition and Markets Authority to investigate the cost of motor insurance.
According to the Association of British Insurers, the average car insurance premium in Q1 24 was £635, up 1% on the previous quarter.
However, this is a huge 35% increase from Q4 2022, when premiums
