Motor insurance complaints hit five-year high

The latest Financial Ombudsman Service data, published today, shows a spike in motor insurance cases caused by valuation disputes, customer service issues, and delays in payouts.

Vehicle-related complaints now make up 25% of all cases received by the Financial Ombudsman Service.

While the worst culprit adding to the ombudsman’s workload was vehicle financing, with 4,622
