virtualisation

Last week Insurance Post ran its first Future of Insurance Work event which gathered over 40 insurance executives together to share their thoughts on what seems to unquestionably be the hot topic of 2020.

But don’t worry if you missed out on the event as it happened as you can now catch up on all the sessions at your own convenience on-demand.

This includes the two C-suite panels which asked: What will the future insurance workforce look like? and: How do we drive change and rebuilding trust with the market? featuring senior figures from Aon, Aviva, Direct Line and Gallaghers among others.

Technology was very much part of the agenda as we covered sessions looking at embracing a digital workforce, helping the existing workforce become digitally literate and the importance of being a deeply embedded data based operation.

We also focused on two of the most important constituents for all insurance companies: their customers and their staff.

The latter were covered off in sessions such as: Connecting the dots, breaking the silos and putting the customer at the centre; and: Using lockdown to enhance the customers claims journey.

In terms of employees the FOIW event featured panels discussing topics such as attracting and retaining talent to overcome the skills gap in insurance and helping ‘Generation Y’ employees adjust to a new work/life balance.

Finally, the lasting impact of the pandemic in terms of digital adoption was covered in sessions: Insurance and Covid-19: initial reaction to the crisis and rebuilding in a new environment; Developing the claims operation of the future; and: The key technologies to revolutionise claims operations.
