Post Intelligence docu-video: Is Flood Re the right insurance solution?

The bad weather over Christmas and the new year has really thrown the issue of Flood Re back into the spotlight.

With this in mind Post - in association with Ordnance Survey - quizzed a number of industry figures about the progress that is being made with the proposed replacement for The Statement of Principles; whether exclusions (such as SMEs and buildings built after 2009) are fair; and the impact Flood Re may have on householder's views about protecting their own properties.

The docu-video, which includes interviews with Direct Line personal lines managing director and Chartered Insurance Institute President Tom Woolgrove; Association of British Insurers policy adviser on flooding Matt Cullen; British Insurance Brokers' Association executive director Graeme Trudgill; and OS business development manager - financial services, Richard Brocklebank, also addresses the topics of data and mapping.

To tie in to the docu-video, Post and Ordnance survey are also undergoing a wide-ranging survey about Flood Re, and we hope you will take part by answering a short questionnaire at this link here.
